Community Benefit Report
Every year, Beacon Community Impact creates a report that details the combined impact created by our external partners and hard working internal program staff. The documents focus on sharing the work that has been achieved and illustrating how our efforts are addressing the identified health needs of our community.
Community Health Needs Assessments
As required by the federal government, Beacon Health System completes a Community Health Needs Assessment(CHNA) every three years. This process is designed to help the hospital identify the community’s most pressing health needs.
In addition to the federal requirements, a community-wide needs assessment such as the CHNA enables community members, government bodies and institutions, private and philanthropic institutions, local businesses, workforce development organizations, neighborhood and faith-based associations and other stakeholders, to have a comprehensive understanding of the health-related gaps or needs of a given population. It also identifies existing and potential resources (infrastructure, partnerships, funding opportunities) to address such needs.
