In 2021, United Way of Saint Joseph County was awarded a grant to complete their Self-Healing Communities project in an effort to address Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) in our community. The project is being completed in collaboration with Beacon Community Impact and Notre Dame Neuroscience and Behavior (SD-NSBH). Through the efforts of ND-NSBH interns, this project will support the sustainable development, implementation, data collection and development of resources (e.g. training video, client pamphlet, media campaign, etc.) that will aid organizations in addressing ACEs.
