Every three years, Beacon Community Impact completes a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to understand the greatest needs of the communities in Beacon Health’s service area. The 2024 CHNA report details these qualitative and quantitative findings from the community.
Michiana VegEDU educates the community, specifically at-risk communities, on the health benefits of a plant-based diet through educational lectures, cooking demonstrations, and displays by vegan-friendly businesses and nonprofit organizations. Michiana VegEDU has collaborated with various Beacon Community Impact partners and other nonprofits in the area, including the Center for the Homeless, YWCA, and SPA Ministries.
