Carey has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, along with a certificate as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. With a background of more than 25 years in healthcare, she combines occupational therapy, process improvement, data-driven decision making, and collaborating with people into community health promotion. At BCI, she works with our team to develop the Community Health Needs Assessment, Implementation Strategy, Community Benefit Report, community strategy, and departmental standardization. Carey is also involved with selecting and supporting our external partners and leading workshops on Trauma-Informed Care. Away from work, she enjoys almost anything outside, especially long walks along the beach and hikes in the mountains. Carey’s latest personal and professional development has been to learn and teach mind-body skills for stress reduction and building resilience.
